Dating in Marovoay

Former capital of the kingdom of Sakalava Boina (Boeny) Marovoay was chosen for its location: Built on the banks of the estuary of the Betsiboka just 70 kilometers inland. The city is a unique way of communication to the Mozambique Channel. Marovoay still plays an important economic role in terms of agriculture through its vast plain fitted for intensive rice cultivation.
